1. Create your first Pebble

1. Open Pebbles and tap the add button in the upper-right corner.
2. Choose a photo or take one. Pebbles creates the subject cutout on your iPhone.
3. Give it a name and, if useful, add reusable text to insert from the keyboard.
4. Tap the star on items you want to find quickly. On Home, the star button switches between recent items and starred-only.

2. Set up the Pebbles keyboard

1. In Pebbles, go to Settings → Keyboard Setup.
2. Tap Open Apple Settings, then open Keyboards.
3. Turn on Pebbles. Enable Allow Full Access only if you want to copy image cutouts for pasting.
4. In a compatible app, touch and hold the globe key and choose Pebbles.

Apple controls keyboard availability. Some secure text fields and apps may temporarily switch back to the system keyboard.

3. Use images and reusable text

Reusable text

Select a Pebble's text from the keyboard to insert it into the current text field. Full Access is not needed for reusable text.

Image cutouts

With Full Access enabled, tap an image in the Pebbles keyboard. Pebbles writes the selected cutout to the system pasteboard. Return to the conversation or document, touch and hold the input area, and choose Paste.

Pebbles never needs Full Access for networking. Learn more in the Privacy Policy.

4. Troubleshooting

The Pebbles keyboard does not appear

• Revisit Settings → Keyboard Setup in Pebbles and confirm the keyboard is enabled in Apple Settings.
• Touch and hold the globe key to choose Pebbles. If it is not listed, close and reopen the destination app.
• Restart the iPhone after installing if iOS has not refreshed the keyboard list.

An image does not paste

• Confirm Allow Full Access is enabled for Pebbles in Apple Settings.
• After tapping the image, return to the input area and choose Paste. Selecting an image copies it; iOS does not insert images directly from a custom keyboard.
• Try another app. Some apps or fields do not accept pasted images.

A Pebble is missing from the keyboard

• Switch between the keyboard's Starred and Recent views.
• Open the main app once after adding or editing an item, then return to the keyboard.

Email Jadonglab if the steps above do not resolve the issue. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Pebbles version and build from Settings → About, the app where the issue occurs, and the steps you tried.
